- Dawgfan, Those laws are so prosecuters can seek a higher punishment. Sort of like hate crimes. If someone forces a woman to have an abortion against her will, or kills a pregnant woman, they are allowed to add charges to an unborn child to further punish the individual.

- I wonder, is it possible to prevent these types of accidental shootings without repealing the 2nd amendment, or is this just the price we pay for the freedom to own a gun? Obviously, going on the honor system that all gun owners are responsible gun owners is failing.
